Ramone Kindrat
BSW, RSW Executive Director
Designation and Experience
I completed a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Manitoba in 1987 and went on to complete a certificate in Business at Red River Community College in 1992. As the director of Adoption By Choice I have been privileged to work with adoptive, foster and kinship families to promote permanence for children for the past several years. My background experience also includes working in a variety of areas of social work including mental health, obstetrics, children’s services and community based programs servicing children and families.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by individuals who dare to take risks and challenge themselves, and through this process achieve amazing results.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
I’m not sure that any one thing is my greatest accomplishment, but I know that my proudest moments have been when I am able to step out of my comfort zone – I know this is when I am truly achieving growth and working towards my greatest potential.
What are your hobbies or interests?
The time that I enjoy the most is spent with my husband and three children, whether it’s on the ski slopes or just staying at home just spending time together.
Why should people come to Adoption By Choice?
If you are looking for personal service and hope to work with people who truly care, and who truly enjoy what they do, then you’ve come to the right agency.
Why you chose to work for Adoption By Choice?
I came to work for Adoption By Choice in 2002 as it’s given me the opportunity to be part of bringing families together. I was honoured to be able to take on the role of Program Director as of September 2008, and am inspired by the great work that our dedicated team accomplishes every day.
